The same crossing as the three-day trip, with the day most people wish they had added: a full day in the desert instead of a sunset and a sunrise. Four days, one way, Fez to Marrakech, private driver throughout.
You go south on day one through the cedar forest and the Ziz gorges, reaching Erg Chebbi for a camel trek at sunset and the first night in camp. Day two stays in the desert: Khamlia and its gnaoua musicians, tea with a nomad family, the fossil beds and old mines, a four-wheel drive run through the dunes, Rissani market, and a second night by the sand. Day three turns west to the Todra gorge and the Dades valley for the night among the kasbahs.
Day four is the High Atlas day, through the Valley of Roses, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou and over the Tizi n Tichka into Marrakech by evening. Four days is the sweet spot on this route: enough desert to feel it, and no day that is only driving.

Good to know
Where does this trip end?
In Marrakech, not Fez. If you want to return to Fez, see the round trips under Fez Sahara Tours.
Is the vehicle private to our party?
Yes, throughout.
How much driving is there each day?
Morocco is large — Fez to Merzouga alone is about seven to eight hours. The days are long, and we break them with stops rather than driving straight through.
